Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the iOS app and web version of "Puzzle of Hanoi" (the "App") handle information about users.
1. Information the developer collects
The developer does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location. The App has no account registration.
Your score records (the top 5 scores with their turn counts and dates) and your settings (sound effects and vibration on/off) are stored only on your device (or in your browser for the web version) and are never sent to the developer's servers.
2. Analytics (Google Analytics)
To understand how the App is used and improve it, the App uses Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC. The App sends the following information to Google Analytics:
- An identifier the App creates on first launch (a random value; the device advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used)
- Records of how you use the App (launches, game starts and endings, scores, number of moves, etc.)
- Device information (OS and version, device model, language setting)
Google estimates your approximate region (country and city) from the IP address it receives when the data is sent. This information is used only for statistics. It is not used to identify you, for advertising, or to track you across other apps and websites. The App tells Google not to use the data for Google Ads or ad personalization.
The identifier is stored on your device and is deleted when you delete the App; reinstalling creates a new one. For how Google handles this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
3. Advertising (iOS app)
The iOS app uses Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to show ads when the game is over. AdMob may collect and use the following information to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud:
- The advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking
- Device information such as IP address, device model, OS version, and language
- Records of interactions with ads, such as views and taps
- Diagnostic information such as crashes
You can choose whether to allow tracking on the prompt shown at first launch, and change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you do not allow tracking, you can still use the App and will see non-personalized ads.
Users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and other regions are asked for consent through Google's User Messaging Platform.

4. Children
The App is not directed primarily at children under 13.
